How to Re-Run an Import File

5/19/2021

During the Sales Import process you may find that some of the line items don't import correctly.  You have a couple of choices on how to handle these situations:
1 - Save the sales import items for later import
OR
2 - Re-run the import file.

If you choose to re-run the import file, you will make the necessary changes and then move the selected items back to Sales Import and re-run the items through the Sales Importer.

After uploading the file to MRSweb, mapping the fields from the file to MRSweb's fields, and matching the data, you notice, as an example, that a couple of the line items have an error in the number of units sold for these orders.

You decide to fix the two line items' quantities and re-run the import.

Here's how:

1. Click or tap anywhere in row 1 to open the Review Sales Import form.
a - Click or tap "Edit"

2. Correct the amounts in the fields;
  a - "Quantity"
  b - "Sales Amount"
  c - "Commission Amount"

3. Click or tap "Save"

Repeat steps 1 - 3 for the error in row 6.

Move the two line items to the Sales Import folder to re-run.

4. Multi-select the line items
a - Click or tap the circle to the left of the Manufacturer's Name, which selects all the items in the table

5. Select "Batch Edit"

6.  Scroll down in the Batch Edit form, until you see "Preprocessed"
a - Click or tap the button to select "Preprocessed"
b - Click or tap the arrows and select "No"
c - Click or tap the button to select "Imported"
d - Click or tap the arrows and select "No"
e - Click or tap "Update Selection"
f - Click or tap "Ok" when the "Update?" notification pops up

Notice the 2 line items are no longer in the Imported folder.

They have moved back to the Sales Import folder.

When you're ready, you can re-run the line items to complete the import.
