MX record settings to use MRSware Mail Server for your domain

As part of every MRSware installation, EYOND offers full use of the MRSware Mail Servers. This allows users to make use of both incoming and outgoing e-mail through MRSware, and elleviates any need for purchasing mail services from other providers.

When an installation is first set up, we always include a default domain, yourdomain.mrsware.com, for use. This allows users to make use of MRSware e-mail without the need to do anything else, or purchase a domain. Most companies will already have a domain for their e-mail (or should). That domain can be set up to use the MRSware Mail Servers through a change in the domains MX records.

This change is made through the domain registrar where the domain was purchased. This is the company that you registered your domain with and pay annually for its renewal. Examples of domain registrars are networksolutions.com and godaddy.com.

Following are what the settings should look like for the domains MX records:

MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mrsware.com.s7a1.psmtp.com
MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = mrsware.com.s7a2.psmtp.com
MX preference = 30, mail exchanger = mrsware.com.s7b1.psmtp.com
MX preference = 40, mail exchanger = mrsware.com.s7b2.psmtp.com

Depending on your control panel at your domain registrar, the format might be a little different than above, but the settings are the same.

This is a one-time change for the domain, after which no additional changes will be needed. If you need assistance making this change, send a request to [email protected] and we would be happy to make the change for you.

An MX record change is one of the options to get e-mail into MRSware.
