MRSweb Sales contains your entire sales flow process, from lead to commission payment.  While each stage in
the process is separate, you can share the data used from one step to another.

Importing information into MRSware has always been available, whether it was sales and commission reports or a lead list from a manufacturer.  Now, with MRSweb, you have the ability to do multi-stage imports. 

In this lesson you'll learn how to import data into MRSweb.  You'll be able to import a variety of information like:

• lead lists
• conference attendee lists
• activity lists
• order acknowledgement reports
• shipping reports
• invoice reports
• commission payment reports. 

​Whenever you see the following menu on a page in MRSweb you will be able to import information. 

Sales Reps can be found in the Contacts Menu.  Sales Reps is the control center for the sales force; where the sales entities are created, enabled, and disabled.  Sales Reps may contain sales entities such as Sales Reps, Territories, and/or Agency.  

MRSweb also creates the link between these sales force entities and their corresponding Users in the system.  Once a sales rep/territory/agency entity is created in the system, it can be assigned to Companies, Customers, Orders, and Invoices.  

The Sales Reps list displays the Active sales reps for the agency.  The Sidebar has a pre-filtered view of Inactive Reps displaying a list of sales reps no longer employed by the agency.

Chapter 5 - Product Catalog - Sort, Filter

In addition to the pre-filtered views already set up, you are able to sort and filter your products in the tables of MRSweb.

The difference between sorting and filtering is:
- Sorting puts your data into an easier format, e.g. - all companies in alphabetical order A to Z
- Filtering segregates your data, singling out the information you want to see, e.g. - all companies located in Boston, MA

In Lesson 2.4 Settings, we learned about customizing your MRSweb with the use of Settings.  In Lesson 2.7 Sidebar, we learned more about the Sidebar in MRSweb.  The Sidebar setting is not available on the Home page, but is available in all other areas of MRSweb. 

! In Settings, check "Landscape" to make sure the Sidebar appears in your pages.

The Product Catalog Sidebar provides a calendar, pre-filtered views, page view options, and more.

You now have the ability to import a manufacturer's product listing directly into MRSweb, saving you time when you're entering products into any of the areas listed above.

Sort your data to organize it in a way that makes it easier to see and review.

You can sort and filter beyond the pre-filtered page view options found in the Sidebar.

i   In MRSweb you will find tabs, including categories, in Contacts, Projects, and Activities - Appointments, Journals and Tasks.  The tabs will vary depending on the record where they are found.  Although categories are found in all of the above records, the names of the categories will vary depending on the type of record.

The Tasks' Sidebar provides a calendar, page view options, a Due Date, and more.  ​

MRSweb Activity contains Appointments, Journals, and Tasks which are all part of the greater Activity Tracking system in MRSweb.  While each has its own niche, they do overlap in some aspects.

With Tasks you can follow up on your ToDo list that needs to be completed before (preparing for a sales meeting) or after a business interaction (following up from a sales call).  Tasks allows you to assign the work to someone else (send literature or samples, schedule a service call, or ask for a quote) and be able to track when the task is updated, completed, or if any notes are added.  Tasks with due dates will appear in your Calendar. 

Like Journals, Tasks can be timed, allowing you to add these items to your list of activities for analysis when assessing line profitability and ROI (Return on Investment) of your customers and overall business. 

Tasks are also a valuable source of information in sales call planning, allowing the sales rep to review what has occurred since their last contact, helping them to be better prepared during their meetings.   

Tasks is part of your Relationship Database.

Chapter 6 - Journal Reports

Journal Reports are available in MRSweb.  You can run the reports from a selected Journal or from a filtered list of journals to send to a manufacturer.
